In this video, I revisit 90s and early 2000s punk rock locations in some of the eastern parts of San Diego County like the College Area, La Mesa, and El Cajon…

College Area:

  • The gas station that Gimp played the grand opening of
  • A San Diego State coffee house that Camerica played with 609
  • An extinct Guitar Center
  • The College Music Trader

La Mesa:

  • Venus Night Club (where Camerica played in 2001)
  • The La Mesa Guitar Center (still exists)

El Cajon

  • 90s venue: Soul Kitchen (later to be Area 51)
  • El Cajon Music Trader (where punk rock releases sold the most)
  • Doubletime recording studio (Blink-182, Buck-0-Nine, Gimp, Camerica)

Inside Doubletime

This video is a vlog I made for a recent music project I put together called Feral Humans (2019-2024). It’s a good look at the interior of Doubletime.
